Peyton Mannings legacy revisited

I wrote a blog a few weeks ago about peyton mannings legacy if he doesnt win the superbowl this year and would like to revisit this topic.. I am a patriots fan so of course i wanted the Colts to lose they are my rival of the decade. I saw peyton manning make a few throws tonite that i dont think brady could even make, however in the longrun peyton manning has proven hes nothing but a spectacular regular season qb and a mediocore playoff game qb.

Peyton Manning really had a chance to stamp his legacy tonite, put him a notch above qb's who have only won 1 superbowl but now hes back with all of them, back with his mediocore brother with 1 superbowl win. Im gonna compare him to the Atlanta Braves of the 90's all those playoff appearances and yet only 1 world series win to show for it. Will the Colts be in the playoffs again next year of course they will they will go 13-3 like they do every season but you have to ask yourself is peyton manning really a great all-time quarterback? To be continued.

The Superbowl is Here

Well finally the big day is here the superbowl.. Its the beginning of the end, what the hell am i gonna do on sundays now until september? More on that later. I got knocked down pretty good in high school basketball and the coach stood over me and said are you hurt or are you injured i replied hurt he replied good get up then and back in the game. So i fully expect to see Dwight Freeney playing tomomrrow but expect the Saints to double him and test him early..

Ya Reggie Wayne got a little dinged up but he will be fine. As much as i want to pick the Saints and it would be great for the city especially after what they have been thru, they are not going to win. My heart tells me Saints the brain tells me Colts, i didnt hear about any colts players out til 345am tuesday morning, i did about the Saints though.. Saints are happy to be there and treating this like a gaga vacation, colts are all business and teams that are business usually take care of it in the longrun.

I think the game will go back n forth however when its all said and done with i think were gonna have a 34-30ish win by the colts and then all the manning is better than brady talk will begin.. Maybe after he gets 3 rings we can have that discussion until then its gonna be another superbowl win for the Colts. I guess ill get my golf clubs outta my trunk at least i can do that on sundays now :(

Peyton Mannings legacy

If Peyton Manning does not win a superbowl this year he will be in my mind the best regular season qb we have ever seen and one of the worst and quite opposite in the playoffs.. His reg season stats 117-59, his playoff stats 7-8 not even a winning record throughout all these years. He has more victories in the past decade than any NFL qb ever. Lets see what are his playoff stats all time here you go, 348 of 565 (61.5 percent) for 4,207 yards. 22 touchdown passes and 17 interceptions. His quarterback rating: 84.8. The year he won the superbowl and went 4-0 these were his stats 97 of 153 (63.4%) for 1,034 yards, 6.8 YPA, 3 TD, 7 INT, 70.5 passer rating, pretty pathetic if u ask me. And for whatever reason he never gets any help in the running game in the playoffs. If peyton manning does not win a superbowl this year and he had a pretty easy road there considering they didnt have to play the chargers who own them or the pats, or anyone that could score with them, in anycase if they dont win they might not again while hes a qb. I always get these people because im a patriots fan coming up to me saying hes passed brady as a qb and yes the patriots did choke away a superbowl, granted on a wacky yet great catch, but i always refer them back to one thing, check out the jewerly scoreboard it reads 3-1 and until that changes he cant hold brady's jock.

Mark Mcgwire

So he finally comes out and admits to using steroids, why is this such a big story and a suprise to everyone, didnt we all think this to begin with? You know who keeps looking better and better from all of this Jose Canseco, we all used to think he was an idiot and full of it just trying to make money and write books but he has been spot on for the most part with all his allegations. The one thing about McGwire to keep in mind and this is how you know hes completely foolish is he keeps saying i really wanted to get this off my chest in front of congress that day but my lawyers could not grant him immunity at the time of his hearing, well guess what after the statute of limitations expired in 2006 he couldnt get in trouble anyways, soooo he had this on his mind and chest right so in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and until now it took him to speak up when he would have been in immunity to begin with because the statute of limitations expired? Ummm nice try but unfortunately im smarter than you and your lawyer you wanted to get this off your chest because you wanted to be a coach on a team. What a joke and a fraud and you WILL NEVER get into the hall of fame now.

Alabama Crimson Tide national champs

I called it, i said wayyyyyy back in week 1 Alabama was the best team in college football. You woudlnt know it by how they played the first 5minutes of this bcs championship game vs Texas. Their qb Mcelroy looked horrible, im not joking when i say i could have done better, he was hesitant to the point where the ball looked stuck in his hand, then a fake punt that turned into an interception. Would the outcome have been different if Colt Mccoy didnt get hurt i would say so, but i dont think Texas would have won.. This is why in my opinion Mccoy and Sam Bradford wont be good pro qb's in my opinon they are injury prone because of their body frame/structure.

When Alabama was down i just kept saying give it to the heisman trophy winner it will slow and calm things down and he will do what he does , gain positive yardage. Alabama's defense is amazing to watch controlled chaos is what it is. Theres a bright spot for Texas here their backup was horrible in the 1st half but calmed down in the 2nd half and had the team within striking distance til a fumble did them in. He wont be in a bigger game or more pressurized situation his next 3yrs so i think he and the longhorns will be just fine in the years to come but as for now, Rolltide.

Boise State

So after watching the Boise State Tcu game last night it got me thinking. Are they really this good or really only this good because of the teams they play, until Oregon they only played a ranked team once at home in the previous years, but Tcu was the real deal and granted they ran a trick play to beat them but they did it and were successful once again. From thinking Boise State used to just be a feel story, they are actually a real team now playing in real meaningful bowl games. Could they beat a Florida or Alabama right now well probably not lets not go that far however im sure they c0uld have beat that fraud Cincinnatti team that got smoked by the Gators last week. Ive come to appreciate Boise State it must be hard to build a program up there, no beach or pretty girls to offer like USC or warm weather like the teams in Florida but yet they get the players they need to have to be great and thats all that matters. Now if we could only get them to change their home field so i can watch the games without hurting my eyes then i will be totally sold.

Florida Gators and Urban Meyer

Living here in Florida all you hear about is the gators, it does get a little much at times. Personally i never thought they were as good as their #1 ranking, i mean cmon they played my high school in the first 2 weeks of the season, and their one tough road game @LSU well their qb was horrible they have a good defense but no offense. When they finally had to play a real time it was RollTide all day long, a great D, a superior running back and a qb whos well not that great but just did his job and didnt make any foolish mistakes. Then Meyer goes to the hospital for dehydration after the game ok it happens.

Now he retires and then i think he realized hes gonna cost UF some great recruits if he stayed retires so he un-retires, i found it convenient he retired his thought process was probably no tebow, no spikes, im gonna go 8-4 next year i like to call it the Coach K move of Duke, conveniently having health issues when the team is gonna be in a downfall year, then all of a sudden whooaaa im better the next year when they are good again. I honestly dont know whats wrong with him, even at his press conference he couldlnt even describe it all i kept hearing was i just gotta get better soon. I told alot of Gators fans enjoy this year while you can and live it up if you go undefeated because it wont happen again for a long time, and they choked it up, Tebow you came back for nothing, you wasted a year of your life, i dont think you will be an NFL qb but u might be something else who knows because you do have drive and respect for the game.

Tiger woods

Im the same age as Tiger Woods, im also the same height as Tiger woods. Tiger woods in the only reason i picked up a golf club, when i was younger golf was for old men with funny looking pants, Tiger made golf cool for young guys like me. Ive seen him play in person a few times, i followed him around winged foot in the first tourny after his father died, i came away thinking boy hes robotic, just doesnt seem like one of us , i followed mickelson later in the day and he was interacting with us and eating chex mix, tiger was just like a robot, all business which maybe why he is so good at what he does.

Am i surprised at what has happened to him, a little bit. I would figure someone with that much money and smart people around him would have at least told him if your going to do things behing others back at least buy a Bat phone or something thats not your main blackberry or whatever he might have, but thats why it doesnt surprise me, you cant be sharp at everything, ya hes better at golf than all of us and amazes us but hes not reality smart so to say, this is one subject he didnt have advisors for or people to ask, if that was you or i we would have covered it up better and had a backup phone not linked to us a pay as you go phone, something, anything besides our everyday phone.

You usually get caught eventually when your doing something wrong, whether it be at work or in everyday life, the golf world will suffer from this, after his surgery in 2008 golf ratings were down 47percent in tournaments in which he didnt play in. I honestly feel this will turn out like Kobe Bryant, his wife will forgive him , what is she nuts asking him to quit golf, umm hello you wouldnt have that nice house, car, manicure etc without the money he made from golf, open your eyes. Tiger woods is the greatest competitor ive seen, he will use all this negativity to his advantage, Tiger will take all of this rage and build-up out on his opponents when he gets back on the course and probably be as good or better than he ever was, thats what he does, he golfs and does it better than anyone else.

whos the best team in college football?

I think this debate is going to be settled in the sec title game, im still not sold on florida, they played my high school in their first 2 games of the year. Alabama has had no close games and has beat a ranked team va tech in their first game unlike florida who will be playing a overranked LSU team that almost lost if not for a goal line stand this past weekend. Miami would have been ranked #1 if they beat va tech last week and beat oklahoma this week but they stumbled. Next year miami will be ranked #1 all of their real good players are only sophmores which is scary, the U is gonna be back for sure, this year is more a sneak preview. We will see boise state whos currently ranked 5th get passed by a team or two with 1 loss in the upcoming weeks because they play a BS schedule.. That big home field advantage i think they are 62-3 or whatever , how many ranked teams do u think they have played at home during that? Heres a hint only one, oregon earlier this year, boise state will join BYU and all those other schools in meaningless conferences and weak schedules and fall down the polls. All its gonna take is one more hit on tebow and the rest of the year will all be up in the air, but until then who can beat the champs?

michael vick

  • So i watched the eagles jags game last night to see Michael Vick play. He really didnt do too much a few toss passes, although he did have one very nice pass for a first down that had alot of zip on the ball.. It seemed to me he still can throw the ball pretty well, however the one time he ran he certainly looked slower than he used to be, he didnt have that step, that cutover speed he once had. Mcnabb was reportedly unhappy already being on the sidelines. This is gonna backfire i think on the Eagles.. Vick was best when he was a what? A quarterback and the Eagles already have a pretty good on in my opinion. I dont think this move was good for the Eagles. I already liked the eagles and patriots for a superbowl appearance but now i am second guessing myself, someone is not going to be happy in philly and if the Eagles were smart they would make sure that person isnt Mcnabb.

Brett Favre comes back yet again

Well well well what a surprise Brett Favre has come out of retirement yet again.. Brett favre has not retired twice in 11 months and still hasnt missed a game yet, unbelievable. Lets just get down to it, Favre didnt wanna go to training camp, and the vikings qb's in their camp were absolutely horrible this year so far so why not have the old man come back for one more shot at it. I hope he realizes hes got a great running back and he will actually have to hand the ball off to win.. I looked at the vikings schedule and they will probably go 10-6 and win their division. They are not going to a superbowl lets get that clear. I will be glad next year when i dont have to hear about this man anymore, yes it will be must watch football when the vikings visit green bay but besides that just put this dog out of its misery!

The redsox own the Yankees no more

You didnt really think the redsox were gonna keep sweeping the yankees all yaer long did you? The 4 game sweep the yankees put on the sox this past weekend reminded me pre 2004, reminded me of when the yankees went to boston in 2006 and punched them in the face 5 straight games ultimetly ending up in the redsox missing the playoffs that year. Yes the redsox are a little dinged up and were not playing well coming in and they had their chances but being shut out 2 straight games one 15 innings then not scoring til late in the 4th game, this team with this payroll didnt score a run for over 30 innings that unreal, is that even possible? The redsox are not going to win this division the yankees have never blown a 6+ game lead. And they better watch out because the rays and rangers are breathing down their necks. If the redsox get healthy they have a chance in the playoffs but right now the yankees are the better team

The Redsox cant beat the Tampa rays

Watching this game tonite i predicted on twitter 4hours before the end that the redsox would lose this game if they didnt score at least 4runs.. You see the Tampa Rays have the Boston redsox number, just like the redsox have the Angels number in the playoffs, just like the Angels have the Yankees number in the playoffs. The redsox dont play well against the AL west, oakland , seattle, the rangers these teams always give them problems and take series from them, then they play baltimore and own them, they own the yankees this year for whatever reason, but their streak against them will come to and end next week the Yankees will not be swept again thats for sure. I dont know what it is or why but some teams just have your number even though your superior in so many ways to them, and the Rays have the Redsox number for the last couple of years.

MLB midseason thoughts

Well the redsox are in first place, i thought that at the beginning of the year, the yankees have come on strong lately, and the Rays are finally healthy so the AL east will be going down to the wire im sure. In the AL central the tigers have had a nice bounce back year with the white sox not far behind, i just dont think the twins will catch either of them and they will have too because the wild card will be coming out of the AL east. The Angels are in first and would be at least 5 games ahead if they kept K-Rod which we know they are regretting, the rangers will fade.

To the NL , well the dodgers are in first and got manny back so they are in great shape. For the bad start the cubs have had they are only a few games out of first and within striking distance but i expect the cardinals to win that division. The Mets are my dissapointment of the year, the marlins will fade, and philly is in first place and has a horrible home record which if they turn around this division will be over in august.

The Redsox own the Yankees

I never would have thought this could be true but it is, ever since 2004 after that game 7 the Boston redsox are the Yankees daddy. In the reality of how those 2 teams keep score its redsox 2, yankees 0. The redsox are 8-0 this year against NY, and they are winning how the yankees used to win, not a whole bunch of homers, a walk, a single , a sac fly. When these two play its the redsox now with superior confidence, its the redsox who seem to get a timely hit, or a big out when they need it, its unreal. The yankees this year against the phillies and redsox are 1-10 ya they beat up on the bad teams which is what you should do, but against the big boys they stink and thats why their will not be a championship in the bronx yet again this year.

The Cleveland cavaliers are the mistake by the lake

Game 2 lebron hits the winner it makes up for the jordan shots that have beaten the cavs in the playoffs twice, the browns giving up 98yards and losing to john elway and the broncos etc, and guess what they are still gonna blow it. I thought the cavs would come to orlando and split and get out of here and go home and win in 7 games, instead they lose both, tonite the magic hit 17 3's thats unreal but thats their game when they hit them they win when they dont they look like a college team..

That last shot by lebron looked like it was going in it was the right distance just bad direction, i cant believe cleveland is struggling like this, they looked unbeatable in their first 8 playoff games now they have to win 3 in a row to keep their season alive, u know how many teams have come back from down 3-1??? 8 only 8 and i dont see cleveland doing it. Over the last 3yrs inlcuding the playoffs the magic are 12-5 against the cavs, and against the lakers ya they swept them this year too. Its a shame they have those kobe lebron puppet commercials all over the place what a waste of money because one of the so called MVP'S isnt gonna be there in the end, and the refs have even tried to help them, 3 bad calls against howard on lebron during this series, a no call at the end of the game which i get the whole lets swallow our whistle and let the players decide it but if that was lebron hes getting to the line, the cavs cant even beat the magic with the refs of their side, they deserve to continue the long standing tradition of the mistake by the lake, just like a few years ago we had the Indians up 3-1 on the redsox well BOHICA cleveland and if u dont know what that means.. Bend Over Here It Comes Again!!!!!!!

Orlando magic vs Cleveland Cavaliers game 1

After watching the unreal game last night between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers i didnt think anything would top it anytime soon boy was i wrong. By the end of the first quarter tonite Lebron James looked like a man amongst boys and it appeared to me that the Cavs were gonna run away and hide and have their 9th straight win by over 10pts in the 2009 playoffs. Even at halftime with the Cavs Williams making about a 7o foot 3 pointer to stretch the lead to 15 and go into halftime with all the momentum i never felt the magic had a chance.

Then the 3rd quarter, something became very obvious, lebron james was far and away the best player on the court all nite, however he has no bench and not alot of help, the orlando magic bench outscored clevelands 25-5. The Magic chipped away and away and outscored the cavs 30-19 to bring them to a 82-78 deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter. Ive watched every magic playoff game and the most consistent player was the one who hit the big big shot tonite, rashard lewis has been there just about every game for them and boy did he hit a big shot tonite. Even before that u can see they magic learned something from beating boston, Hedo turkoglu was at the top of the 3point line, faked the player up and jumped into him, ive never seen him do that in about 30games, where did he learn that trick from watching paul pierce whos mastered it in the last 7 games. The magic are taking a few tricks here and there they learned and applying them now in crucial situations, really nice to see a team grow like that.

I fully expect a Cavs win in game 2, a loss again at home would be downright painful. Chances are the Cavs will get one on the road and this series could well be on its way to 7 games which as a fan is great. It was nice to see that the Cavs are not bullet proof, i thought they were i picked them to win this series 4-2, we will really see how good they are now because they have alot of pressure on them the next 2 games, if they lose game 2 or 3 they are gonna be in a serious hole.

The orlando magic have beaten the champs

The orlando magic beat the boston celtics tonite in what as a celtics fan was just an ugly game from the beginning.. Did they not watch the lakers earlier in the day run out to a quick lead at home, instead they just looked like a team that hasnt played at all together for the first quarter and most of the first half while the magic dominated them. The celtics 32-0 record when having a 3-2 series lead stat is gone out the door. We should never have been in a game 7 to begin with the magic probably should have won this series in 5 games. And if jameer nelson and kevin garnett were both healthy the celtics would have won in 6 or 7 but they both didnt play so this is what we got.

The Magic may have saved stan van gundys job he was certainly gonna get fired after his best player got on him after a tough loss, it wouldnt be the first time a magic player got a coach fired, see tracy mcgrady and doc rivers a decade ago. The magic went 13-21 from 3-point land theres no way anyone is gonna beat u when u shoot that good i dont care if they have lebron or kobe however the magics biggest asset tonite will ultimately be what brings them crashing down to earth, teams that live and die with the 3-point shot do not win championships.

I like watching the magic they are a fun team and dwight howard is already a beast imagine if he had a go to move like a hook shot or a hakeem shake or a ewing face up shot he would be unstoppable. I know the magic have beaten the cavs 9 of the last 13, i know the magic swept the lakers this year 2-0, but thats regular season, and the cavs learned a little bit losing a tough game7 to the celtics about what its going to take. I think the cavs win 4-1 or 4-2 and i think we will have lakers vs cavs, thats what the network wants for ratings, its what america wants and its what i want.

Celtics vs Magic my Mothers day experience.

After picking up my sister after her cruise and having lunch with her and her new fiance before sending them back to CT and cooking on the grill it was here game time.. I went to friday nights magic blowout game of Boston but i knew tonite would be different after that embarrassment. I almost didnt wear my paul pierce #34 jersey as i have twice before friday and in march and we lost both games but something told me when they win you will be wishing u had it on instead of a celtics t-shirt so there i went , sox hat backwards , pierce jersey on, i took my uncle and my aunt for mothers day, we arrived at 630pm and here we go.

I went down to the court watched warmups i dont know why i do its like batting practice i just do i enjoy watching the routines and am amazed just how many shots these guys can make in a row when nobodys guarding them. Off to my seats in section 108, a nice tribute to chuck daly before the introductions, chuck was a magic coach a few years, let the detroit pistons to back to back titles and coached the original dream team in Barcelona, great man. Soo the game starts these 2 kids about 21ish 1 in particular sit behind me hes ok at first boston sucks red sox suck pierce sucks blah blah its all good im in enemy territory and have been to many redsox yankee games. They handed out these magic rally towels i just sat on mine, more to that later.

So halftime close game went to bathroom very quiet, not like friday when i got alot of celtics suck pierce sucks heres his bathroom handicapped. Soo 3rd qt the celtics are making a run now the guy has had alot of beer, starts saying people from Boston are PUSS(^#& ill let u fill in the blank, then starts going with the what happen to your sox the rays beat them evan longoria blah blah where i turned around and said hmm cole hammels, phillies? heard of em? Then he makes a few ohh pierce looks like he just got shot again falling down i say no it was a knife in a club he got attacked with. Then for some reason he thinks he went to duke and grew up in compton when i say umm no he went to kansas and grew up in englewood down the street from the old forum in LA, do u know anything about sports he got a little embarrassed, so now he pulls out his paddle thing a noise maker.

The Celtics are playing ok at this point but the magic are catching up and paul pierce now has 5fouls, he starts makin all that raquet right up against me and my uncle to where my uncle says something and hes like fuck boston blah blah and my uncle is a magic fan im the boston fan so my uncle says do u not see me cheering for the same team as u the last 2hrs? Once again he shuts down for a bit. Everyone else i got along great with i always tryto make friends and make it fun afterall your gonna be sitting with these people for 3hrs, i usually talk out the game with fellow opponents sitting around me makes for alot of fun of strategy and who should shoot, stuff like that. Ok Rashard Lewis hits 2 free throws, big ones, ive met rashard a few times, very cool guy just cant root for him when hes playing my team.

Big Baby davis really got it alot from the crowd including that idiot behind me, fat bastard cry baby, blahblah everything u can think of. He hits that big shot, and then im thinking pierce is gonna drive this to the basket and kick to Allen or House for the win and it goes to Davis, i hold my breathe , i see it go thru and i see that red light, game over 19K of people just totally stunned and not moving they just cant believe they lost, i turn around get my towel i was sitting on and throw it in that kids chest and say and i quote "heres your towel go home now and cry in it bitch" and then i left to a non responsive asshole.. Everyone else was lots of fun but it only takes 1 person to ruin it. As for sports events ive been to in person this ranks up there with manny's walk off in game 2 vs the angels in the ALCS in 2007, just great.

Off to the car, lots of high fives including a few in the bathroom while pissing it was quite strange but yet oddly fun, its 95 degrees im in the car i listen to the sox win, woohoo i get the bruins score woohoo, im in the parking lot were blocked in cant get out, i flash my jersey to fellow boston fans and get the hand gesture to go, i automatically think of the brotherhood of being a boston sports fan, just about all my family is up north but boston sports fans are everywhere, and you can always feel at home going to any Boston sporting event no matter where you are on gods green earth, what a great mothers day one i soon wont forget The end!

Manny Ramirez suspeded 50games for using fertility drug

When i first heard this story this morning i thought thats just manny being manny, hes a clown this is a guy who used to have a months worth of paychecks and 60K in his glove compartment when playing for the redsox. Manny Ramirez used HGC which is a women's fertility drug typically used by steroid users to restart their body's natural testosterone production as they come off a steroid cycle. A physician in Florida gave him this, unfortunately the medication was banned under our drug policy. You would think a physician whos giving a guy who makes 25million a year would check into what you can and cant have in your body before giving it to him.

Manny says hes passed at least 15 drug tests, and when the redsox were contacted today, and this is a team he left on bad terms they didnt believe he ever did steroids so that holds some weight in my book, now more than ever was the time to throw him under this bus if you think he did when he was playing there. What a bad time for this the dodgers are 21-8, undefeated 13-0 at home and now this.. Now manny joins a list that includes Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Alex Rodriguez, Jose Canseco amongst others. People that have used any performance drug will not be in the hall of fame. And i actually feel kinda bad for manny hes not like bonds where hes hitting 50home runs still at 36, hes declining with age as you should if your not taking anything. How convenient that while all the focus is on the Left coast A-rod a man of allegations himself will slip back onto the field sometime soon, funny how that stuff works out.

Celtics Bulls, overtime again are you kidding me

This is simply unreal in all my life on this green earth i have never seen anything like this playoff series. Its had everything and the best is yet to come, i have a feeling game 7 will come down to the wire like the rest of them have except game 3 which was a Celtics blowout. Im a Celtics fan and sometimes i wonder if Garnett was healthy would this already be over? Probably. However a strange part of me is glad hes not playing, this series no matter who wins saturday nite will be remembered forever, the drama is 2nd to none, this is right up there with yankees vs redsox in the playoffs if not better. All im going to say is this saturday night go watch the game, i know you might not want too or u might have plans to go out, so at least record it because i think we are gonna be in store for something special.

Chicago Bulls Vs Boston Celtics

I have never seen a series in the first round of the nba playoffs that has been this fun to watch. 3 overtime games out of 5 which is already a record for a 7game series are you kidding me.. Ray Allen and Ben Gordon goin crazy matching eachother , tonite we had no garnett, Allen fouled out so the big 3 was reduced to the big 1 and paul pierce lived up to his nickname that shaquille oneil gave him, the truth. He kept getting to his spot right at the top of the key about 18-20 feet out and just sized up the defender and hit shot after huge shot over him. I think the bulls will end up winning game 6 in chicago and i think we are gonna be in for a game 7 of the ages in Boston later this week.

yankees/redsox/nfl draft/celtics/etc

I just realized i need to go buy an additional television there are only a few times a year when sports clash in october and this weekend. I have no idea on saturday how im going to keep up with the Yankees and redsox game, the nfl draft, and the celtics. I also of course wanna watch the other nba playoff games, and good thing the bruins arent playing and already swept because id have to fit them into the mix somehow too. This is a great weekend to be a sports fan theres not enough time in a day to watch it all, even if you have dvr you still cant watch it all, im gonna have to pick. I think the nfl draft will have to take a back seat to the redsox and yanks and also the celtics. I will probably be sitting there flipping between a few games with a laptop on my lap watching the draft, what a tough life i have.

redsox revisited

So last week i was worried about the redsox, well after today sweeping a double header and winning their 7th straight game i suddenly feel better and well who wouldnt. A true test will come this weekend when in my opinion the best rivalry in sports happens when the NY Yankees come calling. I wouldnt say the redsox are playing great but you have to take advantage of teams with the scheduling, the twins who play in a dome certainly didnt want anything to do with a 50 degree rainy doubleheader in boston and they took advantage of that. Im not a big fan of domes, i never was in one until i went to a tampa bay rays game last year, just doesnt feel like baseball, i like the open air feel. I will update the sox every week or so, it will be interesting to see what they do against a real team in the Yankees this weekend.
